a transitional living program in an alcohol/drug free environment for men who
have become homeless primarily due to alcoholism and drug addiction. Program
includes: initial application interview; intake and assessment; structured
days; balanced meals; rehabilitative work training; individual counseling;
recovery groups; holistic education and employment opportunities. Minimal
rent is charged. Clients recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction are required
to have completed an inpatient treatment program or to have had a successful

and Substance Abuse to treat substance abuse. ACES is licensed to do level

(312) 655-7700 Services to Families - Family and Aged provides professional problem-solving and counseling services to families and individuals who are experiencing a wide range of social and personal problems. These problems may include: family violence, substance abuse and addiction, sexual abuse, homelessness, a trauma such as suicide, family issues related to aging parents, homicide, disability, illness such as HIV, incest, parent-child issues and other problems that affect the family's or individual's ability to cope. Services may be one or a combination of the following: responding to a crisis, referral to a needed service, help with accessing services, advocacy, help with developing a plan of action and following through, money management, professional counseling and family therapy. People may receive services in their home, and Spanish-speaking staff are available. |
